Greg Loomis grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, and graduated in 2004 from CU Boulder with a B.S. in business administration and an emphasis in marketing. That next year, Greg began his career as Climbing Magazine’s Marketing and Sales Strategist, a position at which he managed sales accounts, launched the magazine's Marketing Research program, directed nonprofit and event partnerships and contributed to Climbing’s leading print and online products.
Following the sale of Climbing Magazine and the subsequent restaffing in February 2007, Greg embarked on a tour of 30 cities during three months to research his career path. This involved investigating cities, corporations, marketing agencies and graduate programs nationwide.
In late 2007, Greg accepted the Assistant Content Manager position with the highly regarded national marketing agency Crispin Porter & Bogusky. Working on the Best Buy account, Greg facilitated the creation and placement of print, TV, online and other advertising mediums.
Following his promotion to Content Manager, Greg works primarily on B-cycle, a bike-sharing program that seeks to redefine city transportation. B-cycle is a mainstream bike-sharing system designed for US cities, communities, universities and corporations. It's simple, stand-alone and highly scalable commercial model that provides a zero-hassles, zero-emissions way to get around town. B-cycle's goals is to make the bike a normal part of urban transportation. B-cycles will supplement a city's transportation infrastructure by connecting residential and commercial areas directly with existing modes of public transportation.
